It all began with a need to be creative.
I'm John Vandagriff. I've been blessed with a long and fulfilling professional career that spans a diverse group of industries. After college, I was drawn into the Commercial photography and advertising business by one of my best friends. That experience eventually culminated in owning my own professional photography business working primarily with commercial and industrial clientele to produce regional and national advertising campaigns. The creative freedom afforded me in that business inspired me to hone my creative skills in other facets of my life.Maybe you want to launch a business. I'm John Vandagriff, and my career spans various industries. After college, I entered the commercial photography and advertising business, eventually owning my own photography company serving regional and national clients. That creative experience shaped my passion in many areas of life.
Life changes, like marriage and kids, shifted my focus toward a 26-year career in automotive management. I continuously applied my creativity to understand human behavior and solve everyday problems. Now, as a Senior Project Manager for the nation’s largest public utility, I use my creative skills to implement cutting-edge IT solutions.
Throughout my career, creativity has been the common thread in every role. In addition to my project management work, I own a laser engraving business that grew from supporting my daughter’s arts & crafts venture. It’s become a fulfilling hobby that now offers a path to retirement from my full-time job yet keeping me engaged and purposeful.
